Seminar at Penang
should be the last seminar this year.
From the tentative given, it is said that the course will start at 915 in the morning on 2nd December. At first the invitation said it will be held at Sunway Hotel, Seberang jaya.. Sue & i planned to go on early morning on that day.. but then, we received an email a day before the seminar saying the seminar venue change to a hotel located on the island. hmm~ we have to leave right after subuh if we weren't to stay overnight the night before..so we change the plan, and go to penang on the 1st dec then stay overnight for the seminar.
what about that seminar? it was ok. more on the software overview-drainage, catchment, river, flood modelling(since it is joint-collaboration of jps and a software distributor) and on some projects using that software..and all of those projects are of course..jps's. including the stormwater management and drainage master plan in sungai besi and seri kembangan, and of klang town..then flood map development for sungai muar and flood forecasting for sungai melaka, langkawi plus river monitoring for sungai kelang. the seminar ended half an hour late than schedule.
before head back to as.. we went to penang road to buy some jeruk. we stop at syarul's house then sue & i head back to as. we reached cawan cafe for dinner at 7+pm then head back home for weekend.
:) a short trip. i wish i could stay at the hotel a bit longer. seemingly an overnight there is not worth (because of the time, of kos). all in all.. 1day seminar added in my total kursus for the year.. phew.. (altogether would be about a month-worth courses/seminar/tech talk!!!)
There's this seminar on River & Drainage Modeling in Copthorne Orchid Hotel in Penang. Seeing the letter asking Sue, Syarul & I to attend it..fuh~ siyesli i don't feel wanting to go at all.. ye lah..it's already end of the year.. not that end of the year you shouldn't learn anything anymore..only, not just me.. but all three of us don't feel up to it. yet.. we still go. still have to go.

We all go with Syarul's car.. then we stay at penang in Hydro Hotel. We all only arrived at penang at about 8 o'clock at night..after we have our dinner at the nearby stall..we went to Bt Ferringhi for the night market. We arrived there at almost eleven. Then we had some walk..buy some stuff before went back to hotel past midnight to sleep ..
the next morning is rather a very laid back day. we all go for breakfast at 815 then have some great bfast (i like the suasana that morning during bfast), then we went back to our room and leave for seminar which is about 2-3km from where we're staying
